PLM Warehousing is equipped with a calibrated and SANAS approved scale weighing export containers for SOLAS Worldwide requirements to obtain the Verified Gross Mass of each export unit.
This requirement has become a pertinent part of the export process and having this system on hand at our facility lends to us offering an even quicker and more efficient export process for our customers.
We weigh using Method 1 of the SOLAS Chapter VI, Regulation 2, which involves the weighing of the fully packed, secured and sealed container to obtain a true final weight on the unit.
The weighbridge scale conforms to the Trade Metrology Act, Regulation (Act77 of 1973) and bears the type Approval Number of SA1334 AA14. We can weigh units up to 40ton gross mass and this can include any abnormals for export on flatracks as well.
